Been awhile since we posted any new music tracks, so here's one from Mr. Oni Foetus's recent lot that will accompany TLT's jet skate mini-game segments!

Race Theme

It's a new take on fAB's original composition, Motorhorse Showdown. We thought it an appropriate track for these segments and it seemed to be well-received by Legends fans, so we had Oni Foetus work his magic on it and are quite pleased with the results. As always we can never sing enough praises for the quality of TLT's soundtrack; having everyone experience it in-game is a prime incentive for finishing this project. XD

Speaking of which, Unity 5 just released today! I'm not expecting it to be a magic game-changer like I wrongly assumed Mecanim would be, but it's still exciting for the engine as it looks to be a very major upgrade in pretty much everything (not to mention it sounds like some nice Pro-only features have gone free), so I'll be diving into that soon.

Got a couple of quick things for you all today. First up, we've updated Tuttle's model in the Gallery. He was the first finished model we made for the game, but truth be told we never took the time to make sure his model was "finished" to perfection because he's the main character and we knew we'd likely be making all kinds of alterations as the rest of the game progressed. Already we've made a lot of changes to the model since the beginning, and though there will be plenty more to come, we figured it'd be a good idea to go ahead and bring it up to date for now.

Secondly, and of much greater significance, we've added a new track to our music page which you may have heard if you watched our Event video the other day. This delightful tune is to be the theme for the city on Tronne Island. Sadly, no comments have been left to indicate that anyone noticed the brilliant job Mr. Foetus did of listening past all the chatter to recreate the track from this video. That's right, this music originally came from the Mega Man Legends 3 Prototype Version, when Barrett takes Aero riding around Teomo City! Don't you feel ashamed that you didn't notice sooner? Seriously though, give this awesome piece a good listen and drop a comment to let Mr. Foetus know what an amazing job he did!

Don't you just love Legends music? I know I do. I'm wild about the soundtracks for all three games in our beloved series. It's not without some hesitation that I say this, but... I think the TLT soundtrack is shaping up to be even greater than those from the official games! Of course we haven't wanted to share out every track as it is completed, but we've put some very nice samples on our Music Tracks page, so I hope all of you are also giving due appreciation to this important and awesome aspect of the game.

Looking back at the recent activity here in the Development Blog it seems it's been quite a while since we had a good, substantial post relating to progress. Naturally this wasn't as we intended (having a second demo out by now would have been preferable), but sadly our lives have just been too busy this year for substantial TLT time. That's not to say we haven't been giving it attention, however; we always squeeze in what we can, when we can. In addition to our standard priorities, much our time continues to go into staff correspondence, Event planning and running, and so on. Lately we've also been doing a fair amount of design work on important characters and locations, some of which will hopefully find its way into models soon.

I would give the usual jabber about us really getting on the ball soon, but you've all heard that one before and the fact is we really don't have enough control over our schedule at present to follow through with that promise. Rest assured though, TLT is always on our minds and we will continue to do what we can as time allows- and hopefully time will allow us some better TLT work soon. smiley

Anyway, while work on our end has been unfortunately slow, our staff has really been pumping out some awesome works- not to mention a new concept artist has joined our ranks! Read on to see what they've been up to.

The site has received some new goodies from Mr. Foetus! On the Music Tracks page we have his latest piece, Sirocco's Theme, which will be played when you battle Sirocco throughout the game. This awesome track is his first original composition that we've posted since the popular Invading Forces, so do give a listen!

That isn't the only new music from Mr. Foetus, but we're keeping the rest under wraps for now. In the meantime we've added his Sleepy Dashe Town, which was featured in the first demo.

And lastly, in the Artwork Gallery we've added some of his ruin concept sketches. None of these are guaranteed to make it into the game directly, but they're certain to provide great inspiration and ideas when we get to designing the ruins.
