Comments for Music Making- Foetus Style

Hi!
I've successfully read all of it. Would it be OK if I wrote a lot in the comment too?

Karimn is saying that using real-life instruments is better. It's interesting how the two of you have such different approaches. Indeed there're no rules to follow.
Still, when I think music, I get this funny feeling. . . I, I mean, the feeling that I've heard that tune before. This is when I start doubting myself, and the whole thing immediately seems too simplistic to become something really special. Maybe I'm just being too hard on myself, or simply not cut out to be a composer, but it's still fun to try.

So I've been trying to come up with something with TLT in mind, based on what I know about it (as an official sound man, you probably already know what events will take place in the game, right?).
So far, I've thrown together four "pieces" that, well. . . seem to be suitable for the snowy Buscan Island, the ruins of Chizz, a dramatic battle with the pirate force, and there's an ending song as well. I thought I had the Sturm Force theme coming up, but it slipped away from me the next morning.

The thing is, it's only the piano, the leading part--the other instruments are playing in my head, so to speak. Hopefully will get them out with the help of those programms you mentioned.

Not sure if the project needs the assistance of a half-baked composer, but I'll try to deliver something anyway, OK? That is, as soon as I figure out how to handle the programms, which means. . .

Mmmm, I've dragged it too much, I guess.
It's a pretty long read for a comment, and there is no cake at the end to make up for it.
I am. . . I am not sorry at all.
I must say, however, that I'm really enjoying your work, and am definitely looking forward to hearing more from you!

"I get this funny feeling..." Ha! I see what you did there. "Oh, forget it! Who cares what this feeling is!"
Anyways it's nice to get some insight on how you develope your music. I agree with Hikiri that it's interesting that you and Mirak have different approachs. I'm going to try to guess which of you two makes each song when they come out.
You also said close to the top that you drew inspirations from Legends when you first made songs. Do you think that you could post some of your earlier works on MMLS for our listening pleasure?

@Hikari Thanks! Definitely check out FL Studio! It's such a great programme. It also lets you import MIDI songs, so if your piano tunes are in MIDI form then the conversion shouldn't be very hard.

@Loken Thanks! Hmmm...I think a lot of my old work disappeared somewhere, but I might have something I made a bit later on an old harddrive. I'll have to see, cause anything I find might have been made around the time when I was moving from MMW to FL Studio so there might not be much Legends stuff.
