Early sketches of our male pirate lead, Nodin, go way back to the project's 2D days in one form or another. He's been a tough design to nail down but with some community feedback, Blyka and I sat down one night in late February and finally went over each aspect of the character in detail.

Nodin is heavy, clad in bulky digger's armor, yet still fairly agile. He uses a sword, so we wanted to give a bit of a knight's presence to his bearing. And of course, he's old and has been through a lot. We wanted to reflect that in the way that he's more complicated in design than most Legends characters tend to be. The idea is that he's seen a lot of action and his armor is continually evolving, filled with symbolism that reflects the adventures he's had.
