Comments for Major Visual Overhaul

If it's gonna save time in the long-term, then by all means you are definitely going in the right direction. You know my favorite visual style is "finished." s-tongue.gif Keep it up, you'll get there!

Nice to see the Golbesh finished and looking well, I'm interested to see now if you guys go the Legends 1 - Gold/Silver versions or if you combine it with the Legends 2 - elemental variety. Either way I'm looking forward to what else is in store from you guys. I enjoy the updates and hopefully we get some more news (big or small) soon!

i actually really like the Cel-Shaded look in most things...i even prefer (personally) semi thicker lines. this is a really cool, and clean, look. keep on keeping on.

Ha, I was hoping for a February update but I suppose march 1st will work. When I saw 'cel-shaded' I was a bit worried but it seems the art is still the same. Dynamic day and night stuff is pretty cool, I can't remember if you guys told us about that before.

really good news!! s-bigsmile.gif thanks for the update

Glad to hear your finding solutions and are continuing to move forwards. :)

@Dashe
That comment is so worthy of you. s-squint.gif

@Dragge
Assuming we don't just come up with our own alternate color schemes for reaverbots, safe to say we won't be going elemental with the Golbesh as they're dependent on status effects, which we aren't planning to have in the game.

@Zaiy
There were a few people who seemed really into the hand-shaded thing, and we were afraid of disappointing them, but yeah I think it looks good like this and stays true to the style we've been aiming for all along.

@Loken
We did mention the day and night, but it's been a long time now so it's natural that a lot of people may have forgotten. Hopefully it'll be a really cool aspect of the game that the original series didn't get to explore.

@Pigbot
Glad you approve! s-bigsmile.gif Thanks for the ongoing show of support!

@Jitterz
Thanks. That's the trick to a project like this, just gotta keep it moving forward no matter what the pace.

Celshading is a good choice and to be honest I think the original games would look perfect if they were celshaded as well. They have the look already. So nice to see an update tho. Keep up the good work on the game guys

I think it definitely makes its look more finished. I highly doubt it will draw away from the final quality. Not only completions sake but for decisiveness It seems like a good move. Great work! Love the progress and the new model.

hey guys i just heard about this project, played the demo and allow me to say it was mind blowing, looked totally professional, but if you're making a game this good why not make it more related to megaman legends and make Barrett the protagonist
fAB - May 7th, 2014 - 12:41 pm EDT
@maku
Thanks for your comments on the demo. It's very out-of-date by this point, but glad you enjoyed it. Regarding Barrett (or any of the main cast for that matter), you can visit our Q&A page to see our reasoning behind things.
