Awesome! I love that you're recreating and using those character designs!

Name suggestion: "Bun"
-Short for bunny (because of her hair)
-It's a type of bread, like roll
Dashe - May 5th, 2013 - 11:23 pm EDT
Name suggestions: Piston, Torque, Rockett.

I might come back with more later. Especially if I find a particularly good word search anthology.

I've been wondering why Mega Man Legends has such a surplus of teenaged girls who mess around with machines, myself. Maybe it's the shortage of malls and boy bands?
axel - May 6th, 2013 - 01:08 am EDT
Looks good, but one problem i have is that all of the characer models seem extremely stiff, just look at the torso in both pics, notice how one bends backwards and one does not, sin e the 3d model doesn't curve, it makes it look stiff. Same prob with lilly and a bit with tuttle, i don't know if you're looking into that, or you left it intentionally, but aside from thar, the model looks great!
Topken - May 6th, 2013 - 02:46 am EDT
Could be Dashe lol. Glad to see you guys are keeping the devroom tradition alive with these events and even using some of the none used applicants from over there. It just adds that Legends flair to the game.
Zaiy - May 6th, 2013 - 06:26 am EDT
I liked Bunn Rockett :p even though its only the first two suggestions I dig it.
ListenLoudly - May 6th, 2013 - 07:52 am EDT
I second PStart's idea. "Bun" is awesome because it's a bread like "Roll" and also because she looks like she has bunny ears a bit. Just so long as you never ever ever call her "Buns" or "bun bun." Except perhaps as a re-occurring taunt from a foe.
Hikari - May 6th, 2013 - 08:59 am EDT
Seeing as Tuttle can't do anything right on his own, he's definitely going to need all the help he can get (perhaps, even get someone else to do all the work for him).

I'd like to participate in this too.

Since the girl is fond of machines, there's got to be a tomboy side to her. She's also from an island, which is kind of 'exotic', so it could be nice to emphasize on that and give her a name that would be both cute and unusual.

Character name: Tiki Tan, Malon, or something short like TK, which may not be her real name, but a made up word, similar to how Bullbreath is more likely a nickname.
eris - May 6th, 2013 - 12:45 pm EDT
I'd be down with Bun or Bunn if it didn't already sound real similar to Bonne.

I do like the food pun idea though. Karrot or something lame like that maybe?
Mr. Foetus - May 6th, 2013 - 05:34 pm EDT
Not even sure if I can technically put in an entry. XD But meh...

She seems tomboyish, so the name probably shouldn't sound too cute. Something with one syllable, more suited for a mechanic....Hmmmmm...

Suggestions: "Hux", "Beat", "Dot", "Guts". "May" seems like it would fit, too, but that's pretty normal...
J.T. - May 6th, 2013 - 06:55 pm EDT
I am going to suggest the name Valeria or "Val" for short.

Reason? Ever play Suikoden 1? There was a character named Valeria that was prominent in the game's plotline, incredibly powerful character if you leveled her up right and she was not exactly a feminine woman, enjoyed doing things with the guys.

If this girl enjoys machines and other things most dudes like to tinker with that I know of (note: I am absolutely not saying women don't enjoy this hobby, as I've met women that do), I definitely feel Valeria or again "Val" for short, would be a perfect name for her.
Breakman - May 6th, 2013 - 07:10 pm EDT
My name ideas: Mint, Kite, or Spark.

If you want something that has meaning, try referencing Ganz Works or something they did. They built trains, aircraft, seacrafts, etc and were one of the first to put electricity in use for trains.
Eclipse - May 6th, 2013 - 08:02 pm EDT
Hi its a me, Eclipse from the Devroom and I thought of a perfect name for this new mechanic. :) Her name should be Usagi which means Rabbit. http://www.ourbabynamer.com/meaning-of-Usagi.html

I believe this to be the perfect name for her given her appearance.
Dragge - May 6th, 2013 - 09:28 pm EDT
Pretty cool using the old designs guys.
As for name suggestions: Petra, Maya, Vita, Zora, or Avis
SIMSteven - May 6th, 2013 - 09:52 pm EDT
I'll just be brief: Sprocket. Because her pigtails are kinda in the shape of a sprocket wrench.
Zimos - May 6th, 2013 - 10:08 pm EDT
How about Tinks. Or have her have a name but have a unconventional nickname like Tinks.
Skybane_Zero - May 6th, 2013 - 10:41 pm EDT
Hmm, seems that nearly all the main Legends girls have four letters in their names, so I think that'd be a good formula to stick to. My ideas: Tink, Nina, Bolt, Jett, or Dyna.
Zimos - May 6th, 2013 - 10:48 pm EDT
How about the name Tinks? Or have her have a name but have a unconventional nickname like Tinks.
GeneOcelot - May 7th, 2013 - 12:15 am EDT
Sparky. Joyce. Gadget. Pick one : D
Vyndrokos - May 7th, 2013 - 12:37 am EDT
Name her Lynx
Zimos - May 7th, 2013 - 12:50 am EDT
Sorry about double post. s-embarassed.gif
Jesús D. Cruz - May 7th, 2013 - 01:32 am EDT
I don't know why, but I think the name 'Mona' would totally rock for her. It's what Spanish people use for 'cute'.
Tim B - May 7th, 2013 - 03:17 am EDT
I like the name Tessa. I tried thinking of a kind of a kind of melancholic name that I felt suits her artwork picture, but yeah, that's my suggestion.
thechosen261 - May 7th, 2013 - 10:03 am EDT
If you want japanese names maybe Hinata because it means 'Sunny place' and this character looks like she enjoys being in the sunlight. Another could be Rieko because it means 'Child blessed with logic' and since mechanics are supposed to be intelligent, this could match her... maybe. The only problem is they don't sound Megaman like names at all.

I'm not too good at making up names. I made up a char of my own and I renamed her 3 times before getting it right. I settled with the name 'Megumi' for mine.
Name_Pending - May 7th, 2013 - 03:54 pm EDT
Oooooh, I like Vyndrokos's suggestion. "Lynx" seems to fit perfectly.
Servbot Fourty-Two - May 7th, 2013 - 09:37 pm EDT
Cady?s-confused.gif
Zaiy - May 8th, 2013 - 11:17 am EDT
I am enjoying maya, bunn, sprocket, rockett, and beat so far. Nice names but I feel like we can use more mech puns or not something so obvious.
Zaiy (again) - May 8th, 2013 - 12:51 pm EDT
Eh imma throw a couple I'm the mix as well; Pip and Billy. Good for first names I think. :p maybe you guys should make a poll via 100,000 strong or something soonish after gathering a few names you strongly like :p
Avegodro - May 9th, 2013 - 08:30 pm EDT
Liking the names so far, lots to choose from. s-smiley.gif

Names- Ibis, Turbo, Pin, Quill, Vise, Clad, Crystal, Fixer and Joule.
rederci939 - May 9th, 2013 - 10:55 pm EDT
Female mechanic? All I can think is Winry. XD
Loken - May 11th, 2013 - 04:02 pm EDT
Clip, switch, fluff, pix, dixie, Koda (short for kodachrome), exel, and aug (short for auger)
Mr. Foetus - May 11th, 2013 - 09:01 pm EDT
More suggestions: Chip, Pan, Deko, Knox, Rem, Xan.

Or Harold Frederickson.
Nathan - May 12th, 2013 - 10:23 pm EDT
I'm throwin' my vote in behind Sprocket. As for original ideas, we could call her Spin instead of Roll, but that'd be silly. s-tongue.gif
Or if we wanted to do a music-pun (as MegaMan is wont to do), we could call her Tambo. Short for Tambourine. s-bigsmile.gif
Pigbot - May 12th, 2013 - 10:30 pm EDT
hunny bunny
ker-plop - May 12th, 2013 - 11:34 pm EDT
Prospective names: Roxie, Minnie, Balley, Kira.
Rockman Striker - May 12th, 2013 - 11:50 pm EDT
How about Volts, Watts, Diode or "Crank Shaft" s-rolleyes.gif
Sandwichman15 - May 13th, 2013 - 12:59 am EDT
I really think we should give her a cute name rather than a name that has to do with machines, I like the names May, Rachael, Krystal, Candy, and Michelle. If we do throw in a machine pun name, I think it should be her last name. That would seem MegaMan-esque
Pigbot - May 13th, 2013 - 03:45 am EDT
yeah, something like Candy Spirochaete s-bigsmile.gif
Mr. Foetus - May 13th, 2013 - 06:27 pm EDT
I've already submitted a thousand names, but I realize "Daedalus" would be a pretty cool name, after the craftsman from Greek mythology. Or maybe some shortened form of the name.
Kyle - May 13th, 2013 - 06:59 pm EDT
In the same vein as Mr. Foetus' suggestion, I think she should have the embarrassingly formal name of "Athena". Greek goddess of mathematics, strategy, crafts, blah, blah, blah. s-tongue.gif

Of course, as a tomboy mechanic, she'll probably hate for people to know what her parents actually called her, so you can also have most NPCs refer to her as "Avi". A pun on her aviator cap 'n goggles.

As time goes by, she'll become more trusting of Tuttle and actually share her deepest, most darkest secret with him. Her true name!
Groomp - May 16th, 2013 - 02:30 am EDT
I'd like to suggest calling her Nikki, short for Nikola. It's a reference to Nikola Tesla, one of history's greatest inventors, if not the greatest. Maybe even call her Niko (which is kind of boyish), thus fitting the tomboy angle.
Xenoriddley - May 17th, 2013 - 01:39 am EDT
Maybe Marin? I think that one might be good!
Pigbot - May 21st, 2013 - 07:08 pm EDT
Joss, for Josephine Crank
Lance - May 22nd, 2013 - 07:46 pm EDT
This looks like fun, so I may as well throw in my two cents. So, I'm thinking Jack. It's tomboyish, it's a type of rabbit, and the obligatory mechanic pun is built right in. It's perfect, am I right?
Zaiy - May 22nd, 2013 - 11:21 pm EDT
@Lance

I love it, very clever haha
Pigbot - May 23rd, 2013 - 03:58 am EDT
yeah, Lance, I love it too
Groomp - May 23rd, 2013 - 07:16 pm EDT
Jack isn't bad, but it's not exactly a girl's name. It would do great as a nickname, but maybe make her full name more feminine. Maybe even make her get mad whenever someone calls her Jack since she's a girl.
Sandwichman15 - May 25th, 2013 - 12:32 pm EDT
I really like Ky'le's ideo
